"I'm my own man, and as such I do my own thing. When black women stop straightening their hair and wearing wigs and weaves, when white women stop getting lip and butt injections and implants, when bald men stop getting hair transplants, and when people stop getting nose jobs and cosmetic surgery then I'll stop using the 'cakesoap' and we'll all live naturally… Continue

Officers tried to pull him over, but Hunter took… Continue
Earlier this week, New York became the latest state to ban distribution of Four Loko, a caffeinated, flavored, malt liquor beverage that contains 12% alcohol by volume. Tuesday, Sen. Chuck Schumer said federal regulators are ready to ban alcoholic energy drinks - hailing the imminent decision as "the nail in the coffin of these dangerous toxic drinks." And yesterday, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration sent warning letters to four makers of the… Continue
Here is his interview with the Wall Street Journal where he discusses his “investment strategy”.
“…I would always say, always invest in land. That’s what I was always taught, and that is a great investment, especially in a time of recession.”
Oh yeah? Try telling that to the people who invested in real estate to “flip” houses and ended up flat broke! This clown goes on to say:
“…it’s almost better to invest in yourself, and… Continue
Good to know happy endings are not just reserved for the movies.
A young woman survived a brutal shark attack after a courageous man drove the animal away.
The man pulled the shark’s tail until it let go of the 19-year-old diving instructor diving instructor Elyse Frankcom. He then grabbed her and brought her up to the rescue boat as she began to sink in a pool of her blood, about 30 miles south of Perth, Australia, the Associated Press… Continue
Lil Wayne recently revealed to MTV’s “The Seven” that since he began serving his sentence, he gets more than 100 pieces of fan mail a day. And while he said that he actually waits for the letters to come, he’s now asking fans to stop sending mail. Lil Wayne’s recent trip to punitive segregation won’t extend his stay at Rikers Island. ALBANY - Gov. Paterson, who has been making the rounds of black radio stations to discuss the new stop-and-frisk law, said Monday cops stopped him three times when he was younger.
Appearing on the Steve Harvey show on WBLS, Paterson, who signed the bill over the objections of Mayor Bloomberg and Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly, said one time police spoke to him for a few minutes and were "very gracious."
Bill Cosby is NOT dead.
And he wants to make sure everyone knows it.
The legendary funnyman called in to CNN's "Larry King Live" and took to Twitter on Monday night after yet another Internet rumor claimed he had passed away.
"I don't want this person, or whatever, I don't want them to do this anymore," he told Kyra Phillips, who was sitting in for the soon-to-retire King.
Cops can no longer keep a giant electronic library of everyone they stop on the street - but officers can still collect names the old-fashioned way, a new NYPD memo says.
The internal memo was sent out Friday, just after Gov. Paterson signed a law banning the NYPD from entering personal information of innocent people into a citywide database.
The memo reminds cops they legally can gather the intel, as long as they use a pen and… Continue
Organizers of Sunday's Hot 97 Summer Jams concert had a novel way to deal with performers who went over their time limit: They shut off their microphones. Gucci Mane and Funk Master Flex both left the New Meadowlands Stadium stage gracefully after getting the hook, but the same can't be said for Ludacris. "He kept rapping a cappella when they cut off his juice," says a fan. "Finally, they decided to turn it back on. There really wasn't any other… Continue
A relative of rap star Nelly has been killed. St. Louis’ KPLR is reporting that Michael Johnson was shot several times while either entering or exiting a home last Wednesday. St. Louis police reportedly don’t have any leads in the case. It has been reported that Johnson, 36, was a bodyguard for the rapper, but Nelly describes him as a “cousin and friend.” Nelly is upset with St. Louis’ KTVI’s coverage of the story writing on his Twitter account,… Continue
Everybody has been making a huge fuss about Nicki for the longest time. Now she is taking it to the next level, past the cartoon-like rap style. I don't know how else to explain it. But here is what she said the NY Post:
“It’s a certain kind of swag that’s changed in me. I want to be more aggressive But you know, the stuff that I’ve done – it doesn’t really reflect me anymore, so I want to have an entirely new body of work.”
Aliens are out there... and we need to stop trying to talk to them. That's the advice of famed physicist Stephen Hawking.
"We only have to look at ourselves to see how intelligent life might develop into something we wouldn't want to meet," the award-winning British scientist said in a series for the Discovery Channel, "Into the Universe with Stephen Hawking."
To drive the point home, Hawking argued that aliens visiting Earth… Continue
Shaquille O’Neal believes his exwife Shaunie O’Neal may be throwing salt on a “televised revenge” plot on her VH1 reality show, Basketball Wives and now he’s making legal threats to keep her from Shaq-bashing on the air. Shaq’s lawyer has fired off a letter to the network in which he demands VH1 immediately halt production on “any further episodes of ‘Basketball Wives’ which make any reference to Mr. O’Neal.” He ain’t playing.

Last week, in-demand songwriter Claude Kelly called comparisons between Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera “crap,” citing the latter powerhouse vocalist’s decade plus longevity in a business where career success is fleeting.
Now, multiplatinum artist and producer Akon, who signed Gaga to his Kon Live Distribution label in 2008, is giving his own view on the musical battle that's igniting debate on both sides of the fence.
