Like a chef who keeps making the same recipe over and over, Tyler Perry has found his strength and he's sticking to it. Because he alters the ingredients slightly every time, the results range just enough to keep loyal audiences coming back for more. His latest finds the right balance, at least for those who share his salty-sweet tastes.
Perry begins with his most reliable base: a woman in physical and moral peril. This time, she's played… Continue
They came hellbent on finding drugs and a gang boss - but it was the wrong apartment, a shaken Washington Heights family said on Thursday.
Authorities stormed in looking for drugs, laughed at photos of them in bikinis and left when they realized they had made a mistake, a mother and her daughter told the Daily News.
While U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agents - backed up by city cops - were turning their home upside down, a third… Continue
R&B singer Chris Brown has beef with another woman - and this time it isn't Rihanna
It all happened yesterday when the R&B crooner posted a message on Twitter describing how one of the paparazzi that was taking his picture looked. He said, "One of the guyz looked like Wendy Williams or was it the other way around."
Well that was all it took. Apparently Chris sent that message during the taping of Wendy’s talk… Continue
WORLD athletics is in crisis with tests showing champion runner Caster Semenya is a hermaphrodite - a person with both female and male sexual characteristics.

NEW YORK — You know it's a going to be a good night when a big, thuggish-looking man with a scar going down half his face comes into the party singing Rihanna's chorus to "Run This Town."
Now imagine being at that same party and the DJ announces that Rihanna is actually in the building. Too crazy. Thursday night in New York City, if you weren't rehearsing for the MTV Video Music Awards at Radio City Music Hall, or… Continue
No (lyrical) shots fired. Everyone wanted to know if 50 Cent was trying to dis Jay-Z on his new mixtape track "Flight 187." The G-Unit mastermind spoke to us exclusively and said there's no beef, just observation.
"It was the glasses," 50 explained about why he compared Hov to sitcom character Steve Urkel. "They saw the glasses. I didn't Photoshop glasses on him. I think Jay is really conscious of his actual moves. He does those things to make a… Continue
It took only one week -- but the ruthless Madden video game curse struck again last night.
After making one of the sickest interceptions you're going to see all year, 2010 Madden co-cover guy Troy Polamalu went down with a sprained MCL in his knee during the 2nd quarter of last night's Steelers-Titans game.
It's no coincidence ... no fluke ... he should've seen it coming.
Players who have graced the cover of the Madden video… Continue
Here, 50 talks about artists who don’t have the life experiences to back up their lyrics…and uses Lil Wayne as an example of this. I don’t know if I’d go so far as to call it a Lil Wayne diss, because it’s the audience who throws Weezy’s name into it, but it was an alley-oop that Fif was more than happy to slam…
Dealing with her older brother's death hasn't been easy for Janet Jackson, but she's finally ready to talk about it.
In the 43-year-old singer's first interview since Michael's June 25th passing, Janet opens up in the October issue of Harper's Bazaar about her pain, the grieving process and how the ordeal made her a stronger woman.
"People can have rhinoceros skin, but there's a point when something's going to hurt you," she tells the… Continue
Is 50 Cent trying to engage in a baby boom or is he just gassing the girls? Listen and make your own choice. The G-Unit general dropped a single — "Baby By Me" — from his long-delayed Before I Self Destruct LP on Wednesday night. Fif's song premiered on Funk Master Flex's radio show on Hot 97. The songs starts off with a sample of 50's voice from "I Get Money": "Have a baby by me, baby/ Be a millionaire."
Kid Cudi is acting up again. Here’s a report from the NY Post:
Paper's cover boy, 25-year-old rapper Kid Cudi, was seen "darting up the stairs to confront a brunette." Our spy said Cudi screamed at her, "You knew I'd be here and didn't tell me? Who the hell do you think you are? You don't return my calls? [Bleep] you!" Then he stormed off.
This wouldn’t be so bad if we ain’t hear about him doing the same thing a few months ago.… Continue
While everyone's new favorite song "Tardy for the Party" played in the background at a bar in West Hollywood last night, un-"Real Housewife of Atlanta" Kim Zolciak shared the stage -- and a glass of wine -- with a local drag queen named Detox.
NEW YORK — Wu-Tang Clan member Raekwon the Chef will be forever lauded, not just because of his lyrical exploits on proper Wu-Tang Clan LPs, but because his solo debut, 1995's Only Built 4 Cuban Linx is one of the greatest rap albums ever.
But nostalgia can only take you so far; you have to live in the here and now eventually. Over a decade later, Raekwon finds himself a relevant MC again after cooking up that great product once more. Only Built… Continue
The 37-year-old Fond du Lac man told Calumet County Circuit Court Judge Timothy Van Akkeren that during the July 30 ordeal, which lasted about 30 minutes, he was punched in the face twice. The woman he had gone to the motel to meet, Therese Ziemann, super glued his penis to his stomach while at least two of the other women watched, the man said.
"I was telling them, you can't let her do it. This is assault," the man testified.
Hip-hop superstar Jay-Z slammed scalpers on Tuesday who snapped up low-priced tickets for his 9/11 charity show at Madison Square Garden and began reselling them for a huge profit.
"We are truly disheartened that certain individuals would choose to benefit from what is meant to be a 100% charitable event," he said in a statement.
"We do not support any profits made from reselling any ticket that was meant to be purchased by honest… Continue
