Sex sells - and this time it was for a good cause.
An Ohio strip joint aiming to improve its image used titillation to help needy earthquake victims in Haiti, scoring nearly $1,000 this weekend for International Services of Hope/IMPACT, according to the Toledo Blade.
"It was pretty hard to find an organization that wants to deal with an adult entertainment establishment," Marilyn's on Monroe's general manager, Kenny Soprano, told the Ohio paper.
The money raised came from the club's $10 cover charge.
Although she had not been contacted by the strip club, Linda Greene, ISOH/IMPACT's chief executive officer, told the Toledo Blade she would have no problem accepting the funds.
Other area strip clubs were expected to conduct similar "Lap Dances for Haiti" events.
