BENTLY RECALLING CARS FOR FAULTY HOOD ORNAMENTS KNOWN AS THE FLYING B!

Luxury carmaker Bentley is recalling nearly 1,500 cars for faulty hood ornaments that could hurt pedestrians by failing to retract in an accident.

The metal emblem - known as a "flying B" - is designed to fold into the hood upon impact.



But corrosion in the mechanism may cause it to remain upright in a crash, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says.
