Tyrese Gibson is putting the "furious" in the "Fast & Furious" franchise.
The actor and singer, 38, shared a heated rant on Instagram Wednesday aimed at co-star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and threatened to quit the franchise if Johnson sticks around.
"I'm sorry to announce that if Dewayne (sic) is in "Fast9" there will be no more Roman (Pearce)," Gibson wrote, referring to his character. "You mess with family and my daughter's survival I mess with yours… You're a 'clown'…#CandyA--B--hMade."
Gibson previously ignited a feud with Johnson earlier this month, when he blamed the push-back of "F9" on the "Moana" star's apparently selfish behavior. The film was originally slated for release in April 2019, but was knocked to April 2020 amid rumors that Johnson was being eyed for a spin-off featuring his popular character, Hobbs.
In a second Instagram posted hours earlier, Gibson expressed his frustration with his co-star for accepting an "idea" he'd been pitched without first consulting other cast members and taking into consideration Gibson's personal struggles.
"FYI I was never mad at The Rock — I was just mad that he was 'pitched' an idea privately and said yes to it without thinking of what I'm dealing with personally," he wrote.
Gibson didn't clarify what "idea" he meant, but he was likely referring to the spin-off, which currently has a 2019 release date.
As far as his own personal problems, the star is currently embroiled in a nasty custody battle with ex-wife Norma Gibson over his 10-year-old daughter Shayla. His ex is fighting for a restraining order amid claims that Gibson abused their daughter.
The actor also claimed he asked Johnson not to accept a role "that would deeply effect (sic) us all."
"All I asked you to do 'privately' was NOT accept a role that would deeply effect (sic) us all. You are simply NOT the people's champ. You are a selfish champ," he wrote. "Make sure you kiss your 2 daughters when you get home. I wish I could, but I can't afford to fight for my baby anymore, so they're likely going to take her away."
Earlier this month, Johnson defended talk of a spin-off on Instagram.
"I have a tremendous amount of respect for this franchise that I've enjoyed droppin' blood and sweat in over the years and my vision is to create greater opportunities for now only my fellow FF cast mates, but for other amazing actors as well who want to be a part of something new and cool," he wrote. "I want to use my spin-off platform to create new characters that fans will ultimately love to have fun with in multiple chapters and platforms… The more opportunities we can create the better for the fans. Smart business."
