Twitter Goes In On Kanye West For Donald Trump Meeting

On Tuesday morning (Dec. 13), Kanye West walked into Trump Tower in midtown New York City to meet with Donald Trump.

Sources close to the rapper reportedly told TMZ, Kanye has been thinking a lot about the violence in Chicago, and wants to use his name to make a difference. The rapper's had a good relationship with Trump, and he's decided to use it to help promote peace on the streets in Chi-town.

Of course, it was just weeks ago that Kanye threw his support behind Trump, explaining why he liked the President-elect’s campaign.

“I told y’all I didn’t vote, right? But if I would’ve voted, I would’ve voted for Trump,” Kanye said at the time. “There’s nonpolitical methods to speaking that I like, that I feel were very futuristic. And that style, and that method of communication, has proven that it can beat a politically correct way of communication. And I fu*k with that. I actually think that his approach was absolutely genius. Because it fu*king worked!” It would seem as if Kanye is praising Trump’s marketing techniques, or the public persona he put forth. At one point in the video above, he says, “I hate the fact that because I’m a celebrity, everybody told me not to say that I loved the debates. I loved his approach.”

The whole thing is rather upsetting for people who understand Trump’s racist rhetoric as dangerous. To see Kanye act friendly with this guy is disappointing, to say the least. Now we wait to see if Kanye has any explanation for this. Rumors suggest he might perform at the inauguration; Twitter will have a meltdown if he does—and rightly so.

Here's the real reason Ye switched sides …...
