Beyonce Receives Seven Nominations At The NAACP Image Awards

Just like the Grammys, Queen Bey reigns supreme at yet another annual awards show. According to Deadline, Beyonce leads other entertainers with nine nods at the forthcoming NAACP Image Awards.

The Lemonade artist’s name is listed under the categories of Outstanding Album, Outstanding Female Artist, Outstanding Song (Contemporary) for “Formation” and “Freedom” feat. Kendrick Lamar, and the coveted Entertainer of the Year.

On the movie/television side of entertainment, Donald Glover and his hit FX show, Atlanta, seek to gain more trophies this award season, receiving an Outstanding Comedy Series nomination.

Another breakthrough series, Insecure, will duke it out with Atlanta in the Outstanding Comedy Series category, and creator/actress Issa Rae received a nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series. The event will kick-off Feb. 11 on TV One.
