Snoop Dogg Slammed For Calling Bruce Jenner A "Science Project"

Snoop Dogg is in the doghouse with Caitlyn Jenner fans.

The rapper shared a meme Wednesday which mocked the 65-year-old reality star as a "science project" on Instagram, because he was frustrated that her Vanity Fair cover reveal overshadowed his pal Akon’s humanitarian efforts in Africa.

“Shout out to Akon! He is about to supply 600 million africans with solar power. I’m really upset that this isn’t major news but that science project bruce jenner is #Society,” the image stated.

Snoop's meme found support with Cleveland Cavaliers’ J.R. Smith, who briefly shared Snoop's post on his Instagram page.

"Hmmm... What's more important???" Smith asked in the caption, before deleting it from his account.

Snoop's dismissive comments about Jenner sparked outrage on social media.

"How long were you in the news for a stupid f--king name change?" one person commented on the post, referring to Snoop Dogg's name change to Snoop Lion.

"But when someone else changes up their identity suddenly its not worth it. Not buying another song of yours EVER."

"This is 2015. Do you not believe in the pursuit of happiness?" wrote another. "Your comments are just sad and disappointing."

"Real bummed that @SnoopDogg is shading @Caitlyn_Jenner on IG," another person tweeted. "Thought him of all people would be open minded and accepting."

The “Gin & Juice” rapper’s slam of Jenner follows negative remarks made by Connor Cruise and Drake Bell in response to her cover reveal.

But the “I Am Cait” star has also received praise for her courage in making her public debut, leading her to achieve 1 million followers on Twitter in just a few hours.

The July issue of Vanity Fair featuring Jenner hits newsstands Tuesday.
