Just two months after being convicted of assault in Sweden, Harlem native A$AP Rocky is set to return to the country.
The “1 Train” emcee, 31, will perform at Stockholm’s Ericsson Globe on Dec. 11 after receiving “tremendous support from the Swedish fans,” the LA Times reports. A portion of the proceeds will go to local charity FARR, the Swedish Network of Refugee Support Groups.
Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, is returning for the first time since being detained for one month in Stockholm on a July assault charge. He was released from Swedish custody in early August and found guilty two weeks later.
“I am of course disappointed by today’s verdict,” Rocky wrote on Instagram at the time. “I want to say thanks again to all of my fans, friends and everyone who showed me love during this difficult time,” he added. “Imma keep moving forward. Thank you to my team, my management, attorneys, label and everyone who advocated for justice.”
