He's out of the big house - and back to the really big house.
Jesse Wasserman, a wealthy former boarding school student, was sprung from jail on $150,000 bail yesterday and headed straight for his family's $1.75 million home in Westchester.
Accused in a string of Central Park robberies, Wasserman strolled out of court wearing a baseball cap and his jeans hung low. He was charged with three counts of armed robbery and could spend… Continue
Wyclef Jean has been publicly criticized for his presidential aspirations in Haiti and fellow Fugee Pras has been one of the loudest voices.
Both men are natives of Haiti, but Pras says Wyclef doesn’t have a plan that properly address the enormous needs of the disenfranchised nation.
"You've got 1.2 million people living in tent city right now. What are the plans to get these people out," Pras said of the survivors of a January earthquake that devastated… Continue
"Decoded," the memoir of Jay-Z's life, will finally make it to stores in November even though it has been finished for a number of years. The book, written by author and film maker Dream Hampton, will examine the history of the Hip-Hop mogul though a series of extensive interviews from Jay-Z, his family and friends.
The Brooklyn native explained his reluctance to release the book before now.
WAKA FLOCKA FLAMES INTERVIEW WITH VIBE:
Do you know why Gucci and Nicki decided to part ways with your mom?
I can say when you start getting hot, there are a lot of people that get in your ear. I call that the devil. It’ll turn you against the people that helped you. They must have just felt like they needed a change. Maybe they felt like other people can take their career somewhere else. I don’t know. Just like LeBron going to the… Continue
In a Michael Jackson-esque move, Kanye West turned the debut of his "Power" music video into a bona fide TV event. In addition to a high-profile "Jersey Shore" episode lead-in to ensure maximum viewership, the video was interrupted with mini-commercials roughly every fifteen seconds on MTV.
Over the past few days, West teased the video, off his still-untitled new album, with the catchphrase, "It's not a video, it's a… Continue
Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie" music video might not be as flashy as Kanye West's "Power," which debuted on the same night. But what the Joseph Kahn-directed clip (he helmed Britney Spears' "Toxic" and U2's "Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out Of") lacks in artsy flair it makes up for in straightforward, brutal imagery.
The clip, which stars Dominic Monghan ('Lost') and Megan Fox, takes Slim Shady's lyrics about an… Continue
Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has officially challenged Compton, California rapper Game to a cage fight.
The challenge comes after remarks Game made about Rampage, after he lost a recent fight to Rashad “Sugar” Evans, just days after the premiere of the movie The A-Team, which stars Rampage as "B.A. Baracus."
“If the Game had my role I would have stopped being a fan of A-Team,” Rampage told BBC’s 1Xtra. “After the movie, I had a fight and I… Continue
A while back, Lloyd made a random, sideways, somewhat hating ass comment about Ciara. But hey, he is entitled to his own opinion.
“I don’t f**k with Hollywood b**ches and she’s like one of the chicks that’s just changed along the way with the fame and the money and all of that. I don’t really get down with her anymore on some real s**t. The truth hurts, but it will set you free. But I wish her all the best.”
Okay, the cat is officially out of the bag…or in her mouth; pun intended. Queen Latifah was spotted by the paparazzi on a yacht, kicking it with Swizz Beats, Alicia Keys, and her BOO…I meant personal trainer Jeanette Jenkins. Known for delivering sketchy answers when it came to her sexuality, Cleo apparently is ready to support the VAGINA-TARIAN movement full storm.… Continue
Brooklyn-bred rapper Wyclef Jean is counting on New Yorkers to back his run for president of Haiti - but he can't count on his former bandmate. Soon after the celebrity singer filed papers for his candidacy Thursday, fellow Fugees star Pras announced he's supporting another hopeful.
"I endorse Michel Martell as the next president of Haiti because he is the most competent candidate for the job," Pras said in a statement.
Connecticut mass murderer Omar Thornton paused after gunning down eight people to make an extraordinary 911 call - saying he wished he had killed more.
In remarkably calm tones, just before committing suicide, Thornton explained he shed so much blood because "this is a racist place."
"You probably want to know the reason why I shot this place up," Thornton said.
"They treat me bad over here, and they treat all the other black employees bad… Continue
