A Long Island doctor who doled out phony prescriptions for painkillers later sold on city streets was sentenced to three years behind bars Thursday.

Dr. Michael Chait, dubbed a "doctor-turned-dealer" by Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, allegedly charged Medicaid patients from the five boroughs $200 cash for Oxycontin and other narcotic prescriptions.
