There’s no place like home for the holidays — especially when you’re coming off a stint in jail.
Rapper XXXTentacion will be released Wednesday on strict house arrest for the next two months, TMZ reports.
The Florida-based musician — whose real name is Jahseh Onfroy — was sent to the slammer last week after he violated bond and prosecutors slapped him with seven new charges, including witness tampering, stemming from his 2016 domestic violence case.
Earlier this month, the 19-year-old rapper and his lawyers provided a document asking for the case to be dropped that they claim was signed by Onfroy's ex — the same woman he stands accused of beating up while she was pregnant.
TMZ reported that prosecutors were suspicious as to the validity of her signature and believe he may have coerced her.
On Monday, Onfroy was hit with an additional eight charges in the case, all in relation to witness tampering that reportedly occurred during multiple recorded phone calls he made while he was behind bars.
He is facing decades in prison.
Onfroy's debut album "17" was released in August, and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 charts.
During his short time in the music biz, he's stirred up his fair share of controversy. In June, he punched a fan in the face at a concert, and last February he dissed Drake on Twitter, among other instances of bad blood.
