A Burger King employee punched an old man in face so hard that the 67-year-old died hours later, police said.
The vicious blow caused the elderly man to choke on his dentures at a Burger King in Detroit and he was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.
"The victim fell to the floor," Sgt. Eren Stephens told The Detroit News.
Police did not reveal the name of the victim or the 20-year-old worker, who remains in custody, or the reason for the fight Thursday afternoon.
A spokesperson for the police said the victim was allegedly causing a scene in the restaurant and tried to hit the employee. The worker then swung back, The Associated Press reported.
An autopsy is underway to determine the exact cause of death.
