A Baltimore granny killed her 17-month-old grandson by rubbing methadone on his gums so he'd fall asleep, police said.
Towanda Reaves, 50, is accused of fatally poisoning tiny toddler Aadyn Overton as he stayed at her home on July 4.
She also allegedly applied the dangerous drug — normally given to heroin addicts to help overcome addictions — to her five-month-old granddaughter.
But the little girl survived the deadly dose.
Cops initially thought the tots had ingested the substance by accident. But a guilt-ridden Reaves reportedly later confessed what she'd done.
She told cops she put the children to bed at 8 p.m. She dialed 911 at 4 a.m. after waking up to find Overton unresponsive.
He was taken to hospital but pronounced dead soon after.
Later that day, at 2 p.m., investigators were called after the girl was admitted and also tested positive for the narcotic.
"She confirmed that she had given methadone to the children and put it on the gum lines of their mouths," Baltimore City PD detective Jeremy Silbert told ABC.
Reaves was arrested on Aug. 1., and charged with second degree murder, child abuse and assault. She remains in custody.
They should methadone her a$$ to death!
