A 23-year-old Phoenix woman's suicide attempt was thwarted when her boyfriend, watching it on the Web, called her house to alert her father.
The woman was talking with her boyfriend in chat room over a Web cam when the two began to fight.

"The boyfriend tried to tell her that he's leaving from her life. She thought her life was over," a family friend told Fox News.

With her boyfriend watching, the woman hanged herself from the ceiling fan in her family's home. He quickly called the girl's father who was sleeping upstairs.

The father, Mohamed Hossain, rushed downstairs and cut the girl down from the fan immediately after receiving the boyfriend's frantic call.

The girl is in stable condition, Fox News reports.

"He called my phone," Hossain said. "My wife picked up the phone and said 'Your daughter is going to die right now.'"

Police are concerned others may have tuned in, scouring the family's computer to determine if anyone else saw the broadcast.
