Will Smith Might Work With Drake

Last year, Will Smith revealed that he and Kanye West had worked together on several records, none of which have been heard as of yet. Probably because Will spent much of last year prepping the crime thriller he worked on with Margot Robbie, Focus, which dropped earlier this year. Still, every once in a while, we get an update on Big Willie’s musical agenda, and yesterday, we got one via, fittingly, his son Jaden Smith‘s radio show on Beats Radio.

Will called into the show and let loose with a bit of a secret: he’s working on new music with Drake. He elaborated to mention the fact that his son has played a major part in his creative process, and refining his writing process, and also mentioned that a “group chat” involving Jaden may have led to this potential Drake collab.

[Jaden] tells me I have to write out the things I don’t like. I can’t write and stop, I have to keep going and going and write them out.

Though it’s been a decade since Will’s last album, there’s no denying he knows how to make a hit record. It’ll be very interesting to see what comes out of these sessions.
