Video: Mom Catches Twins Not Napping On Baby Monitor

Mommy is always watching.

Beauty vlogger Judy Travis always keeps an eye on her twin 18-month-old girls after tucking them into bed.

Sometimes, the monitoring yields some pretty entertaining scenes.

Like the time she was watching her babies, Miya and Keira, standing in their adjacent cribs, decidedly awake. When Travis calls out to them, "Hi babies!" they quickly take heed and drop to the fetal position in their cribs, pretending they're fast asleep. Travis posted the video on her Facebook page, "It's Judy Time."

The Seattle area resident, who posts daily about her life as a mother and also gives beauty tips, told the Daily News she always watches the girls on the monitor after putting them down for their daily naps at noon and 5 p.m. But the first time she spoke to them through the machine, when they were 6 months old, it really terrified them. So now she just saves it for when they really need to go to sleep.

"I don't do it often," she said. "But when the kids are so young a baby monitor is a must."

The babies are very active and always seek to entertain one another, which can sometimes lead to throwing toys, she said. But when Travis checks in they usually immediately stop their shenanigans and lie in bed.

"It's like 'uh oh, I should be sleeping now.' That's the immediate reaction," she said. "They are really, really good babies. They're pretty mellow and good with each other. They are always entertaining each other."

The 29 year-old usually posts something daily about her family and said she was not surprised by the success of the video, which has gotten more than 14 million views as of Wednesday afternoon.

"It's just funny," she said. "Every day it's something hilarious and new and entertaining."
