Tyrese Gibson is recovering from a three-hour surgery he underwent on Monday.
“By my side… My Amazing wife and Daughter has been by my side every step of the way… When it comes down to the real stuff no one is ever there but family,” the 38-year-old “Fast & the Furious” actor and R&B star wrote on Instagram on Monday.
“Father God I thank you for your extended grace and mercy 3 hour surgery I made it through… I was in the middle of my procedure during the eclipse, I hope one day I figure out exactly what that meant,” he continued.
Before going into the operating room, he asked his friends and followers on social media to send their prayers, though he did not elaborate on his condition or the reason for the surgery.
“I appreciate your prayers and energy, God has a way of sometimes forcing us to slow down,” Gibson wrote. “When I get up? I feel like I’m about to change the world… #PrayerWarriors I feel your love… thank you!”
He ended his post by noting it would be his last for awhile, as it was time for “#RecoveryMode.”
