Tyler Perry Offers To Pay For The Funeral Of Atlanta Twins Left In A Hot Car

Tyler Perry has offered to pay for the funeral expenses for 15-month-old twin girls who died after being left in a hot car in Carrollton, Georgia, last week.

The "Good Deeds" director made the offer after he saw a local news report about the mother, who said she was having trouble paying for the funeral, WSB reported.

Perry, 46, reached out to the news station, who got him in touch with the girls' mother, Breal Ellis. Ellis' family members also started a GoFundMe page which has raised more than $21,000.

Carrollton Police said Alaynah and Ariel North died Thursday after their father Asa North, 24, allegedly left them in his car.

After he discovered their lifeless bodies, he tried to revive them in a kiddie pool and neighbors used ice packs to cool them down, WSB said.

Asa is charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter and reckless conduct. He was reportedly drinking before his daughter's death, according to the Associated Press.

A tearful Ellis, who was out of town at the time visiting a sick relative, told WSB she was grief-stricken over their deaths.

"I was with them every day and the one day I left ... I just want to tell them I'm sorry. They didn't deserve to die like that or to die, period, but I know they're in heaven."
