He beat a murder rap — but a grand jury hit performer Troy Ave with five felony charges related to the May shooting at a T.I. concert that left one dead.
The 33-year-old Brooklyn-bred performer — whose legal name is Roland Collins — was indicted on one count of attempted second degree murder and four counts of criminal possession of a weapon, TMZ reported Monday, citing legal documents.
Collins was shot in the leg in the May 25 melee inside the Irving Plaza nightclub, where his friend T.I. was performing.
His bodyguard, Ronald (Edgar) McPhatter was killed in the gunfire spree.
Collins denied that he shot McPhatter and his attorney says police accounts of Collins shooting himself in the leg are false.
Collins proclaimed his innocence in a jail call freestyle rap made from Rikers Island in which he says he acted in self-defense, that he wrestled a gun away from someone else and fired it back.
"I took the gun from him and turned the tables round like a G," he boasted in the song.
Prosecutors said that all bullets and shell casings recovered from victims and from the scene matched a single weapon found in Collins' van.
Two club bystanders were also injured in the shootout.
Collins was seen on surveillance video tape running out of the VIP room where the fight started.
He started shooting with a semiautomatic pistol — opening fire in the direction of the crowd, the criminal complaint said.
Collins used his own van to drive to the hospital to get treatment for his injured leg.
Three weapons were found in the vehicle, one of which was the weapon that killed McPhatter, police said.
Cops said the violent altercation was sparked by a feud between Collins and an online critic who wrote something negative about him.
