Travis Scott Sued By Three 6 Mafia’s DJ Paul For $20 Million

DJ Paul from the Grammy-winning rap group Three 6 Mafia claims Travis Scott ripped off the hook for his hit song, “No Bystanders,” and now he wants $20 million from Kylie Jenner‘s baby daddy.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Paul claims Scott’s song features “a very distinctive chant of: ‘f**k da club up; f**k da club up,’ which is clearly the ‘hook’ of the track.”

Paul says the “cadence and sound” of the chat are “virtually identical and strikingly similar” to the hook from his song, “Tear Da Club Up.”

In fact, Paul says the two are so similar, when Travis Scott performed “No Bystanders” at the Grammys this year, he changed the hook to “tear da club up.”

Paul claims that Scott never asked for permission to use any portion of his song.

He’s suing for copyright infringement and claims he’s entitled to damages that he “expects to be in excess” of $20 million.
