There were no laughs for comedian Tracy Morgan on Friday, when he filed for a divorce from his high school sweetheart.
The legal split, filed in Bronx Supreme Court, was no surprise to acquaintances of Morgan, who said he has been separated from his wife, Sabina, for about eight years.
"Basically they were divorced without the paperwork," one friend said. "It seems like he has had a different girlfriend every five months or so. In the past three years, I've met three girlfriends."
Morgan, 40, was a regular on "Saturday Night Live" from 1996 to 2003. He plays the character Tracy Jordan on the NBC comedy, "30 Rock."
In January 2008, Sabina said she was filing for a divorce from the funnyman because of his drinking problem - which has landed him in court on drunken driving charges several times.
It's unclear if Sabina followed through. Details of the case, including the reason for the split, are sealed.
Morgan and his wife have three sons together. They have been married for 23 years.
