Nene Leakes' spot as the queen bee of the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" is about to be filled.
According to TMZ, producers of the Bravo reality series have added transgender model, Amiyah Scott, to the lineup for Season 8.
Scott, who was born Arthur, started her transition a decade ago at the age of 17.
The model is hardly new to the fame game, touting 692,000 followers on Instagram and 156,000 on Twitter.
The self-proclaimed "unicorn with an invisible horn" also moonlights as a makeup artist and hairstylist.
Fans of the long-running show have chimed in with support of the casting decision online.
"Amiyah Scott is gon' shake things up on RHOA. Glad to see a trans woman of color get this platform. Good casting call!" one fan tweeted.
Scott isn't the only newbie on the block. Actress Kim Fields of "In Living Single" and "Facts of Life" fame will also join Kandi Burrus, Kenya Moore, Cynthia Bailey, and Phaedra Parks.
The departed Leakes' arch rivals, Marlo Hampton and Sheree Whitfield, are also expected to return.
This isn't the first mainly black audience show to add relatively unknown gay and transgender cast members. Love And Hip Hop LA has a gay rapper that's currently taping for the new season. For some reason there's a hidden agenda to make them more acceptable to the black community.
