Taraji P. Henson and fiancé Kelvin Hayden will have to wait a little longer before saying, “I do.”
Speaking recently to Extra, the “Empire” actress, 49, revealed the couple will be pushing back their June nuptials due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“It’s probably going to be more like July. We have to see what this will be like at the other end,” Henson said.
In March, Henson told People she and former NFL player Hayden, 36, were delaying their initial April date because of personal and professional commitments. Given the current circumstances, the welfare of the couple’s families is of utmost priority.
“Our grandparents, my grandmother is about to turn 96, his is 86, how do we get them to the wedding now? Now, we are concerned, just trying to figure out the safest and best way,” she said.
Henson and Hayden announced their engagement in May 2018.
