Students at Columbia High School in Maplewood, NJ, got a thrill when R&B star SZA appeared at two assembly periods after getting voted into the school’s hall of fame.
Known as Solana Imani Rowe when she graduated in 2008, the star performed a hit for the screaming student body, with many packing the aisles or standing on chairs.
SZA encouraged the crowd, “Design your own world right now,” and revealed she didn’t go to prom because she was so unpopular she didn’t have a date.
