STARZ Releases Trailer For Part Two Of ‘Power Book II: Ghost’ Final Season

STARZ Premiering on Sept. 6, part two of Ghost‘s final season is just as explosive and emotionally intense as the first half. As seen in the official trailer that dropped on Monday (Aug. 5), everyone including Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.), Monét (Mary J. Blige), and Diana (LaToya Tonodeo) get their lives threatened while Tariq and Brayden (Gianni Paolo) keep their heads on a swivel against Cane (Woody McClain) as Effie (Alix Lapri) and Davis (Method Man) ponder on their own respective fates. At some point, Tariq will seemingly reunite with his mother Tasha (Naturi Naughton), and Dru (Lovell Adams-Gray) finds himself in an orange jumpsuit. Fans can expect shootouts, some of their favorite characters running for their lives and Tariq catches another body per the note at the end of the minute-long preview: “Like father, like son.” This leaves many questioning if Tariq himself will make it out of this season alive or will he face the same fate of his father? Per the network, “Part one of Ghost uncovered unanswered high-stakes questions. [In] part two, Tariq finds himself in an eerily similar situation, just like his late father, Ghost, stuck between a rock and a hard place, with the choice to leave the game or take over. Entrapped by Detective Carter, the Tejada family realizes their safety is not guaranteed. Monet fiercely fights for her family to become whole again, but is it too late? Noma is working her way to the top of the food chain. Meanwhile, her daughter, Anya, gets too close to the game, forcing Noma to think twice about her actions.” When first teasing the fourth and final season of Ghost, STARZ described the season as “high-adrenaline” with “twists and turns [that] will have viewers guessing who, if anyone, makes it out alive.” Even though the preview doesn’t include any narration—just a chilling song playing as the sound—Tariq narrated in the part one trailer, “I gotta use all parts of [Ghost]: the good parts of him, the bad parts of him. They gotta get what’s coming to them. I’m not gonna rest until that happens.Friday, Sept. 6 with episode six of the final season airing on the STARZ app at midnight ET or on the STARZ channel at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
