Former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is a “racist piece of s--t” for drastically slashing the sentence of his political pal’s son, said Snoop Dogg in a series of profanity-laden Instagram videos.
The rapper railed on California’s ex-Governator early Tuesday on the heels of 27-year-old Esteban Nunez, the son of ex-California Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez, walking free Sunday after serving less than six years of his 16-year sentence.
“Look at this s--t I’m witnessing right here. Read this s--t,” Snoop said of a news article about Nunez, who with a friend knifed an unarmed college student to death in 2008. “Arnold Schwarzenegger’s a straight b---h. Punk motherf--ker.”
The rapper indicated his fury stemmed from the fact that Schwarzenegger had denied clemency for Crips gang co-founder Stanley “Tookie” Williams, a black man who died Dec. 13, 2005, by lethal injection at California’s San Quentin State Prison.
“Arnold punk a-- didn’t let Tookie out or reduce his sentence. N he was a Nobel piece (sic) prize nominee,” Snoop fumed in a caption. “Sad day in politics.”
Many in 2005 had urged the governor to commute the death sentence for Williams, who was convicted in 1979 of four murders and became an anti-gang violence advocate on death row — but his execution proceeded as planned after Schwarzenegger denied the plea.
“How the f--k you gonna let this n---- out of jail, n----, but you’re gonna kill Tookie Williams, n----?” Snoop said. “‘Cause homeboy’s your friend.”
The newly released Nunez and his co-defendant Ryan Jett, who remains in jail, attacked 22-year-old Luis Santos near San Diego State University’s Fraternity Row after they were turned away from a party, authorities said. In his final act as governor in 2011, Schwarzenegger commuted Santos’ sentence to seven years.
A Sacramento judge in 2012 described the controversial move as “repugnant,” but not illegal.
