SMH! RIM CIO SAYS THEY ARE LETTING BLACKBERRY USERS DOWN! NO SH!T SHERLOCK!

Blackberry users across the world started receiving messages again Thursday after three days of service interruptions affecting millions of customers.

Research In Motion Ltd., the Canadian company that makes the phones, apologized for the network failure that first struck Europe, Africa and the Middle East Monday before spreading to Latin America, the U.S. and Canada.

"Right now we're letting you down," Chief Information Office Robin Bienfait said in a statement on the company's website.

The service problems were caused by a network failure and a backup also failed.

The issues were repaired relatively quickly, but a massive backlog of messages caused severe delays, meaning people were unable to send or receive emails and use their web browsers.

RIM's co-CEO Mike Lazaridis said customers may still experience some glitches as the system gets back up to speed.

"It's too soon to say that this issue is fully resolved," he said.

"I'd like to give you an estimated time of full recovery around the world, but I cannot do this with certainty at this time."
