Last night (Oct. 28) was opening night of the 2014-2015 NBA season, with a doubleheader that featured a matchup of the Houston Rockets vs the Los Angeles Lakers in LA. Slim Thug—a Houston native and huge Rockets fan—was definitely happy with the result last night as the Houston Rockets defeated the Lakers 108-90. One of the biggest storylines leading into the game was the return of Houston Rockets Center Dwight Howard to Los Angeles, where he spent a tumultuous year along with Lakers guard Kobe Bryant on the Lakers back in the 2012-13 season. This was the first matchup of the two against each other since Dwight’s departure for Houston, and at the end of the game, some sparks flew when Dwight elbowed Kobe in the face after getting a rebound. Words were exchanged, and Kobe was caught on camera calling Dwight soft and another not so nice name.
It seems as if Slim Thug didn’t take to kindly to Kobe’s insults towards Dwight, because this morning (Oct. 29), Thug went off on a rant against the Lakers legend.
