A picture released by tennis star Serena Williams has been met with strong criticism.
The sexy photo of Williams standing behind a curtain in her undergarments, comes nearly two weeks after a man was arrested outside of her Florida home.
40-year-old Patenema Ouedraogo was accused by Williams of being a stalker.
Upon his arrest, police found a "love letter" addressed to Williams in Ouedragogo's possession, and he reportedly said he knew where Serena was all of the times because of her twitter updates.
Williams was slammed by her followers and the media for using the above picture as her Twitter profile.
Although the picture was taken down hours later, many critics felt that due the recent "stalker" incident, using such a photo was hypocritical.
"Someone must have gotten to her and suggested something about common sense and hypocrisy," Greg Couch of The Sporting News wrote.
Couch's column continued:
"It's a sexy photo, she looks great and it's not pornographic. To be honest, I would actually find it to be somewhat artistic if it weren't for the serious business of stalking women. What was her message anyway? What was she trying to say? Just this: Look at me.
Instead, what she was saying was this: Peep at me, but don't stalk me."
Couch does have a point. Although Ouedraogo was been ordered to stay at least 500 feet from Serena Williams, he's probably saw this picture on Twitter and saved it as his screensaver.
Once a stalker, always a stalker, no?
Williams did not release any statements about the photo.
