Russell Simmons Endorses Hillary Clinton For President

Hip hop mogul Russell Simmons threw his support behind Hillary Clinton Friday — emphatically endorsing the Democratic front-runner.

The peace-lover said he spoke to Bernie Sanders but felt the Vermont senator was “overstating what he can deliver to underserved communities.”

He posted a note to Instagram that said, “I have decided to go with my longtime friend who has been nothing but honest and supportive of the progressive agenda that I care about.”

Clinton can “beat the Republican candidates,” Simmons told CNN.

Clinton also has nods from Snoop Dogg, Usher and Waka Flocka Flame — but not Killer Mike, who stumps for Sanders.

The rapper got himself in hot water at a Sanders rally by saying “a uterus” doesn’t qualify someone to be President. He later defended himself by saying he was only quoting a well-known feminist.
