RIHANNA TO PERFORM REDEMPTION SONG ON THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW FOCUSING ON HAITI!

Rihanna will join Wyclef Jean for a special episode of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" on Wednesday (January 20), focusing on the devastation in Haiti in the wake of last week's 7.0 earthquake and what people can do to help. Wyclef will give a first-hand account of his recent visit to his home country; R&B singer Maxwell will also be on hand for the special.
Rihanna will perform her version of Bob Marley's classic "Redemption Song," which is currently available for sale on iTunes, RihannaNow.com and Oprah.com. All proceeds — including artist, label and publishing net proceeds — will directly benefit organizations spearheading relief efforts in Haiti, including the Red Cross, UNICEF, Oxfam America and Partners in Health.

On Oprah.com and iTunes, Maxwell's single "Fistful of Tears" has also been made available for purchase for a limited time. Proceeds from that single will benefit Hope for Haiti Now.

Wyclef will also take part in "Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief," along with George Clooney and CNN's Anderson Cooper. Justin Timberlake, Coldplay, Alicia Keys, Bruce Springsteen, Wyclef Jean, Bono, The Edge and Jay-Z have all been tapped to perform on the show and join the more than 100 stars who will be appearing. Like the Rihanna and Maxwell songs, all the performances from the telethon will be made available for download on iTunes for 99 cents the next day.

Several one-of-a-kind collaborations will highlight the event, including a hookup between U2's Bono and The Edge with Jay-Z and Rihanna in London, and a jam featuring Kid Rock, Keith Urban and Sheryl Crow in Los Angeles. Also appearing in New York with Wyclef and Springsteen will be Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Shakira and Sting, while the Los Angeles show will feature performances from Keys, Christina Aguilera, Dave Matthews, John Legend, Timberlake, Stevie Wonder and Taylor Swift.
