Everything Rihanna touches turns to gold.
The singer, 31, launched her high-fashion brand Fenty less than a year ago — and it’s already up for an award.
The LVMH-backed line, which has already been wildly successful with direct-to-consumer launches and famous fans like Bella Hadid, is nominated for a 2019 British Fashion Award in the Urban Luxe category by the British Fashion Council.
“I’m incredibly proud of everyone who’s been a part of the team and development of this brand! It’s been 5 months since we launched @FENTY, and we’re nominated for the Urban Luxe category of the 2019 #BritishFashionAwards,” Rihanna wrote on Instagram after learning of the news.
“Thank you @britishfashioncouncil for acknowledging our hard work and respecting the quality of what we produce! This is such an incredible honor.”
Other nominees in the Urban Luxe category include Alyx, Marine Serre, Martine Rose and Moncler Genius. Vying for Brand of the Year are Bottega Veneta, Gucci, Jacquemus, Loewe and Prada, while Kaia Gerber is up for Model of the Year against Adesuwa Aighewi, Adut Akech, Adwoa Aboah and Winnie Harlow.
The nominees were chosen based upon votes from more than 2,500 industry members, and Naomi Campbell and Giorgio Armani will also be honored, according to Vogue.
Last year, Meghan Markle made a surprise visit to the glamorous event to present her wedding dress designer, Givenchy’s Clare Waight Keller, with the British Womenswear Designer of the Year Award.
The awards will be held in London’s Royal Albert Hall on December 2.
