Rihanna's Accountants Say It's Her Fault She Went Bankrupt

Stick to singing, Rihanna.

That was the gist of a zinger directed at the Barbadian beauty Wednesday by a former accountant, who suggested in court papers that the “Stupid in Love” singer was dumb to ditch her own concert tour to make a movie in 2010.

Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Fenty, sued her former numbers crunchers in 2012 and recently slammed them in court documents, saying their unwise recommendations led her to squander $9 million in 2009.

The star claims accountants Michael Mitnick and Peter Gounis, along with their firm at the time, Berdon LLP, failed to warn her the “Last Girl On Earth” tour was likely to lose money.

“Peter Gounis did not leave the tour to go act in a movie, Fenty did,” says a document filed in Manhattan Federal Court.

The defendants are asking for the suit, which alleges breach of contract and negligence, to be dismissed.
