IN THE STREETS & ON THE WEB

It looks like Rappin 4-Tay has fallen on hard times. The “I’ll Be Around” rapper was recently arrested for first degree residential burglary and has remained in jail since the arrest.

TMZ’s sources say Rappin 4-Tay has been stuck in a San Francisco jail since he was picked up by police on Sept. 24. The Bay Area native has been unable to post bail, which was set at $112,000.

No major details about the alleged burglary have been made public, but this reportedly is the latest in a string of criminal acts by Rappin 4-Tay. The rapper has also been accused of stealing from a commercial building. And according to TMZ, cops discovered Rappin 4-Tay had two outstanding warrants when he was arrested a few weeks ago.

Rappin 4-Tay was in headlines just two years ago for being a victim of stealing. The San Francisco rapper accused Drake of biting lines from his 1994 hit “Playaz Club.”

“I got a ho named reel-to-reel/She got a buddy named SP 12, now you know the deal/We gets freaky in the studio late night/That’s why the beats that you hear are coming real tight,”
Rappin 4-Tay spit on that song.

Drake used some very similar lines in his verse for YG’s “Who Do You Love.”

“I got a shorty named Texas Sin/She got a buddy named Young JB and now you know the deal/We turnt up in the studio late night/That’s why the songs that you hear comin’ real tight,”
Drake rapped.

Drake’s label ended up paying Rappin 4-Tay $100,000 for the use of the lyrics. Obviously that money did not last long if Rappin 4-Tay had to resort to burglary.
