Hollywood may be looking to double down on the success of "Straight Outta Compton" with another movie exploring the '90s rap game.
Rapper Daz told TMZ there will be a sequel "of sorts" exploring the rise of Snoop Dogg, Tupac, Warren G. and other West Coast legends.
The site said the yet-to-be confirmed flick would be titled "Dogg Pound 4 Life" and would star Dr. Dre's son, Curtis Young, as Dre. (Corey Hawkins played the role in "Compton" Ice Cube was portrayed by his son, O'Shea Jackson Jr.)
The careers of Snoop, Tupac, Warren G, Daz, who is Snoop's cousin, Kurupt and a host of others West Coast artists largely took off in the wake of N.W.A., which put gangsta rap on the mainstream map.
"Compton," which coincided with the release of Dr. Dre's first album in 16 years, has been a box office smash, pulling in $60 million in its opening weekend.
It's unclear whether Daz's claims were legit.
TMZ said Dr. Dre and Ice Cube, who produced "Compton" won't be involved, though Cube had given the project "his stamp of approval."
