An irate R. Kelly abruptly ended an interview with the Huffington Post Monday after a reporter brought up past sexual abuse allegations against the R&B singer.
Kelly, who was in New York City to promote his new album, "The Buffet," lost his cool with host Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani after she asked if how his fans would react to buying his music after knowing of his sordid past.
The "I Believe I Could Fly" crooner has been dodging rumors for years that he had sex with underage girls. His lowest point came in 2008 when the 48-year-old was put on trial for 21 counts of child pornography. He was later acquitted of all charges.
"You're here to get ratings, and I understand it, I respect it," he said after she started to bring up his past. "But you won't be getting them off me if you're going to interrogate me."
Then when she continued asking him what he would say to fans, "about the multiple accusations against you and young children in Chicago," Kelly talked over her and claimed to love all his fans even "if they hate me."
In the interview-gone-wrong, Kelly, who's known for his racy lyrics, told Modarressy-Tehrani, "I love you, too."
When Modarressy-Tehari brought up her last question - from a video sent in by a fan - he started to remove his mic and told her, "You don't have no video question, because this interview is over. Alright, alright. Thank you so much, you're so beautiful."
"You don't have to comment on my appearance, sir," the journalist shot back.
R. Kelly has long denied the accusations of underage sex, but sex tapes titled "The R. Kelly Rated X-Files" surface in 2002, and were later investigated by police in his hometown of Chicago.
He was also slapped with a suit by the family of an underage girl with whom he allegedly had sex in 1996. He ultimately settled the case for $250,000.
In 1994, Kelly secretly married the late singer Aaliyah when she was only 15. Her parents had the marriage annulled five months later.
"You can't satisfy everybody," he told Modarressy-Tehrani before storming off. "I will continue to do my job until I get fired, and the only people who can fire me are my fans."
Everybody knows a big bag of bullsh!t when they hear it ……….
