Prospect Park was a sea of violet Thursday night as a Prince-loving crowd watched "Purple Rain" and sang along to every song.
Brooklyn disco group Escort led the sing-along, celebrating the 25th anniversary of Prince's groundbreaking album and the outrageous movie it inspired.
"We love 'Purple Rain' and the '80s!" said Nandini Gopalarathinam, 38, dressed in a purple zebra print dress.
She was there with friend Anitra Gasaway, 34, who wore a bright lavender wig, violet snakeskin leggings and white ankle boots.
Gasaway said she remembered going to see "Purple Rain" at a drive-in with her mom as an elementary schooler, and being shocked at how racy it was.
"That was kind of uncomfortable!" she laughed.
A stream of lyrics played on the screen as thousands belted out "When Doves Cry" and other favorites by The Artist Formerly Known as Love Symbol.
The purple fest was part of the Celebrate Brooklyn! series of summertime concerts.
Serci Janha, of Funky Fanny's vintage wear, was there with some of her friends and clients, dressed in a ruffled lace shirt Prince would have been proud of.
"I'm a huge Prince fan!" she said. "I love 'Baby I'm a Star.' It speaks to everybody."
