A talent agency based in New York has been hit with a lawsuit over a failed outing for Wu-Tang Clan named the "Wu-Fest Tour."
A Louisville, Kentucky man named Terry Harper filed a complaint against International Artist Agency in Jefferson Circuit Court in Kentucky on Tuesday (March 22nd).
Harper claims that reps for IAA claimed all original members of Wu-Tang clan would perform in Louisville on January 5th, 2011.
Harper claims that he sent a deposit in to secure Wu-Tang's performance and began promoting the show with IAA's approval.
In December of 2010, just a month before the show, IAA informed Harper that group member The RZA would not be performing on the bill.
"On our about Wednesday, January 5, 2011, performer RZA, an original member of Wu-Tang, did not perform as the Contract required and as represented to Harper, until it was too late."
Harper claims he made a demand for monies owed to him based on the breach of the contract, but IAA has refused to pay.
Harper is suing IAA for breach of contract and misrepresentation.
