After breaking the news of being the culprit behind publicly lashing out at Prodigy last spring, it turns out Havoc may be willing to come to terms with his estranged Mobb Deep partner and cease the beef.
According to reports, there is a slight possibility Hav and P could finally be putting their differences to the side.
I got word from one of the AHH staffers that Mobb Deep may have ended the beef. You know, this is a beef none of us want to see, and we definitely want more music from P and Hav. Well, here is no need in BS'ing you. I hear the mess ain't over yet. They are still at odds at this very moment. But, sources have revealed to me that these dudes don't want to fight anymore and there are forces looking to bring them back together. Hip-Hop hopes this happens! (All Hip Hop Rumors)
This could come as a surprise as Hav publicly taunted Prodigy earlier this month following the passing of their former mentor/business advisor Chris Lighty.
"RIP to my ol music mentor Chris Lighty. U will be deeply missed.," he tweeted August 30th.
"RT: @PRODIGYMOBBDEEP: terrible news.. tremendous loss R.I.P. big homie --- Yeah, it was a loss when you fired him." (Havoc's Twitter)
Last month, Hav released a music video for his perceived Prodigy diss track, "Separated (Real From The Fake)."
Two weeks back former Mobb Deep member Havoc released a new track from his solo EP blatantly ripping into his former partner and best friend Prodigy. Havoc never makes mention of Prodigy by name, but it's easy to tell who the subject of his verbal attack is. Well now we have some visuals to aid us in our listen to the track, entitled Separated. Since Mobb Deep officially Separated a few weeks ago I have been in a state of Mobb Depression. I now find myself skipping all the Mobb Deep songs on my iPhone out of pure devastation. In late July, the producer/rapper came clean on lying about having his Twitter hacked in April and confessed to dissing P.
"The tweets is crazy," said Havoc. "So it was you?" asked Creekmur. "Yeah," said Havoc. "And I was speaking of a stand point of being mad, but still being truthful of how I felt - but it was just the wrong thing to do at that time." As for the state of Mobb Deep, Havoc says they are taking a break."Right now Mobb Deep is on hiatus, indefinitely...until things get hashed out," Havoc told AllHipHop.com. "Eventually, the real story will come out; there's two sides to every story. Only one has been spoken for." (All Hip Hop)
