Prince’s home will remain forever in his life.
The musician’s iconic recording studio will officially become a museum after a unanimous vote by the Chanhassen City Council Monday night, according to the Chanhassen Villager.
Prince’s Paisley Park estate was opened for tours earlier in October, five months after his death.
The museum was open from Oct. 6 through 23 on a temporary permit, but is now expected to be open weekly from Thursday to Sunday.
Paisley Park has been kept intact since the “When Doves Cry” singer died of an opioid overdose in April, including Studio A, the Purple Rain Room and the NPG Music Club.
“Since its opening in 1985, Paisley Park has been not only Prince's home, but the center of Prince's creative endeavors. We continue to be moved by the endless number of fans from around the world who come to Paisley Park to stand outside and pay their respects to our brother,” siblings Omarr Baker; Alfred and Sharon Jackson; and Norrine, John and Tyka Nelson said.
“The new Paisley Park museum will offer fans a unique experience, an exhibition like no other, as Prince would have wanted it.
“Most important, the museum will display Prince's genius, honor his legacy, and carry forward his strong sense of family and community. We are excited to open the doors of Paisley Park and share Prince's magic with all of his fans.”
Since Prince didn't leave a will ….. How do they know what he would of want!?
As private as Prince was …… Do you think he would like his house turned into a Museum?
He probably like ……. Who the f*ck are these people walking around my house!?
