PLEASURE P DENIES RUMOR'S OF HIM BEING A CHILD MOLESTER! WE HOPE SO BECAUSE TOUCHING LITTLE KIDS IS NOT COOL!

Former Pretty Ricky front man Pleasure P issued a statement this afternoon (December 3) clarifying rumors of his alleged involvement in a 2006 child molestation case.
"All of the recent rumors and accusations that are being circulated about me are 100% false,” the Atlantic Records artist said via his attorneys. “They are disgusting and vile; and they are being spread by individuals with their own sick agendas.”

The statements come two days after Twitter user “AGoldsteinGirl” posted photos of alleged court documents intended to prove that Pleasure P, born Marcus Cooper, had not only been accused of molesting a four year old child, but had also been found guilty of these allegations in a Broward County, Florida court.

The internet accuser, who claimed to be “Laura Goldstein,” the daughter of Pleasure P’s attorney, was the first to raise these accusations.

In addition to posting the documents via Twitter, she also made them available for download and insinuated that her family had received threats since making these flooring accusations.

“The purported documents that are also being circulated are forgeries,” continued the statement released by the offices of Meloni & McCaffrey, P.C. in New York. “I have never met or known anyone by the name of "AGoldstein" or Laura Goldstein or Ashley Goldstein, which I believe are fictitious names,” Pleasure P stated. “I have never been represented by an attorney named Goldstein. For someone to go to such depths to assassinate my character and slander my good name is truly criminal. My attorneys are investigating this matter and will take all necessary and appropriate action to protect my name and reputation."

While entertainment and celebrity blogsites picked up the story, and fans speculated about the validity of these accusations, the remaining members of Pleasure P’s former group issued a statement via their Twitter account which seemed to add validity to the rumor.

The group revealed that contrary to popular belief, it had been their decision to release Pleasure from the group in 2007.

They added, however, that due to an injunction filed by Pleasure P’s legal team, they were not “at liberty to discuss” the circumstances surrounding his expulsion from the group.

Tuesday (December 2) did not bring all bad news for Pleasure P. The newcomer received three nominations for the 2010 Grammy Awards.

His debut solo album The Introduction of Marcus Cooper is up for “Best Contemporary R&B Album” against offerings by Beyonce, Trey Songz, Jamie Foxx and T-Pain.

His single “Under,” from the same album, is also up for “Best R&B Song” and “Best Male R&B Vocal Performance.”
