NY SERIAL KILLER ON THE LOOSE! A TOTAL OF 10 BODIES FOUND ON JONES BEACH!

The search for additional victims of a suspected Long Island serial killer turned up two sets of bones that are believed to be human, police said Monday.
The remains are likely the ninth and tenth sets of human remains found since December on the remote barrier beach off Long Island's south shore.

"It's just amazing that we're finding these things," said Detective Lt. Kevin Smith of the Nassau County Police Department, who confirmed the discoveries.

The first discovery - a partial skeleton - was made about 11:30 a.m. near famed Jones Beach as the hunt expanded into Nassau.

A state trooper with a cadaver-sniffing dog uncovered the remains about 1.5 miles east of Jones Beach's iconic water tower, authorities said.
Then, about 3:30 a.m., authorities found a skull hidden in a thicket in a bird sanctuary near Jones Beach State Park.

Investigators believe the bones are human, but in both cases official determinations could not be made at the scene, police said. Both sets of remains were sent to the Nassau County medical examiner's office for further study.

The discoveries came as the search of the coastal island was expanded to the west of Gilgo Beach and Cedar Beach in Suffolk County, where the first eight bodies were found.

Four sets of remains discovered in December have been identified as women who worked as Craigslist prostitutes. The other four, all found within the last two weeks, have not yet been identified.

About 125 officers from numerous police agencies and fire departments were brought in to help.

One search team began at the landmark water tower at Jones Beach State Park and moved east, while another started at Tobay Beach and moved west through the heavily wooded John F. Kennedy Memorial Wildlife Sanctuary.

"We're not really going to be done with the search until we are satisfied that we've covered as much as we can," Smith said.
Investigators rode on horseback and used fire department ladder-truck buckets in an attempt to get a birdseye view of the rugged sand dunes.
