Fans disappointed over Janet Jackson’s postponed world tour are being kept in limbo — waiting for rescheduled dates or a refund.
Ticket buyers received an email from Ticketmaster on Thursday explaining they will not receive a monetary return unless the star’s “Unbreakable World Tour” is cancelled, TMZ reported.
Several venues for the tour told the gossip site they haven’t received official word of a cancellation and are proceeding as if the “Rhythm Nation” singer will belt out her hits at a later date.
That could be a long waiting game as it’s unclear when the R&B crooner will take the stage after announcing on Wednesday that she was putting her tour on delay to start a family.
“Please, if you can, try to understand that it's important that I do this now,” she said in a two-minute video posted to Twitter. “I have to rest up — doctor's orders. But I have not forgotten about you.”
The 49-year-old signer didn’t elaborate on her “family planning” but fans could be waiting at least nine months if she means she and husband Wissam Al Mana are trying for a baby.
The chances of that happening in a woman over the age of 45 are less than 4%, according to parents.com.
This is the second delay in her international musical trek. On Christmas Eve, she said she was postponing the tour until spring time due to an unspecified surgical procedure.
“Please pray for me, my family and our entire company during this difficult time,” she cryptically wrote on Twitter at the time.
Several loyal followers took to Twitter to voice their frustrations after learning they wouldn’t get a refund.
“We r very happy that you are starting a family but you need to refund money for tix purchased!” wrote one user, adding the hashtag “do the right thing.”
“Janet Jackson better guess again if she thinks I’m not getting a refund for this concert that’s postponed into perpetuity,” another wrote Thursday night.
