Nipsey Hussle‘s family will hold a memorial service for him at the 21,000-seat Staples Center in Los Angeles–and sell tickets to the event, according to a report.
After the Clippers’ final NBA game of the season on Wednesday, the stadium will be set up to accommodate mourners at the Thursday service, TMZ reported Saturday.
Hussle’s family reportedly met with Staples Center chiefs this week to make the arrangements, and ushers have been asked to reserve the day. Tickets will be sold online, according to TMZ.
Michael Jackson’s memorial service was held at the Staples Center in 2009.
Hussle, a 33-year-old Los Angeles native who was shot dead Sunday in front of his Marathon Clothing store, often sat courtside at the Staples Center for Lakers games.
Lakers forward LeBron James honored the artist before Thursday’s tip-off by wearing a shirt imprinted with an illustration of the late rapper’s face.
