Two Nigerian brothers have been arrested in connection with the alleged hate attack on Jussie Smollett, Chicago police confirmed Friday.
The men, who weren’t immediately identified, have not yet been charged.
In a statement Friday morning, cops called them “potential suspects,” saying there is “probable cause” that the pair may have been involved in the Jan. 29 alleged attack in which the “Empire” TV star claims he was punched and called racist and gay slurs by two men who shouted, “This is MAGA country!”
Police later confirmed their arrest.
