IN THE STREETS & ON THE WEB

Nicki Minaj is a woman in charge!

Two years after she opted to skip Hot 97 FM's Summer Jam, she headlined the annual hip-hop concert Sunday night. Not only did she prove she could stand alongside some of hip-hop's greatest male lyricists, but Minaj solidified herself as one of the best rappers in the game, regardless of gender.

"Make some noise if you in school!" she shouted to the packed MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., who responded in an explosion of screams and applause.

The Queens native, who is known to shock with her animated costumes and wigs, arrived on stage looking naturally beautiful. Wearing black-and-white checkered pants that accentuated her voluptuous derriere, and a metallic shirt that showed off her midriff and even a little under-breast at center points throughout the performance, Minaj's appearance pleased the crowd. In fact, every time she turned around an echo of "oohs” and “ahhs" could be heard throughout the stadium.

She kicked off her nearly hour-long performance by delivering straight hip-hop joints such as "Did It on ’Em" and set the audience on fire with the help of Soulja Boy for "Yasss Bish." With two backup singers, "Keisha and Candace," Minaj ripped through "Pills N Potions," urging fans to "take your lighters out" for the mellow yet hard track.

"I promise you a great show," she said, telling the audience that they'd leave feeling "excited and blessed."
She then flowed seamlessly into her hit "Moment 4 Life," engaging the thousands of concertgoers that made the trek to New Jersey from all five boroughs of New York City, as well as Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Long Island and beyond.

While her performance was undeniably enjoyable, the buzz in the stadium focused on who her surprise guests might be.

Of course she brought out some of the rookie members of the Young Money Cash Money (YMCM) clique as she continued marking her place as a queen in hip-hop, but many wondered where the kings were.

Minaj played the crowd as she commented about having problems with one member of YMCM.
"There's a n---a in Young Money that I'm not f---ing with right now," she told the crowd. "Drake, I used to love you, but n---a, I don't f--k with you no more!"

Her serious face seemed to indicate she wasn't joking. Drake then crashed the stage and Minaj’s mean look quickly changed into a smile.
Drake bounced around on stage like if he had pent up energy from waiting through Minaj's set to finally touch the mic. Wearing a baseball cap to the back, a black-and-white-striped shirt and jeans, the Canadian rapper kicked off his performance with "Worst Behavior."

The Daily News spotted one of his personal fans backstage, Rihanna. While RiRi never showed her face to the crowd, she rode around on a golf cart behind the scenes before being escorted into an elevator, presumably heading to a private place to watch the show.

After Drake's performance, the "Diamonds" singer was seen leaving at the same time he made his exit, which further dismisses rumors that their love affair has ended.

Back on stage, Lil Wayne joined his protégés. In true Weezy fashion, he ran on stage shirtless with his braids flying as he performed cuts like "Loyal" by Chris Brown.
"Make noise for the king!" Minaj yelled before looking directly at Wayne to say, "Shout-out to the motherf---ing best rapper alive!"
