Nicki Minaj Ends Kenneth Petty Divorce Rumors With Family Outing

Fans of Nicki Minaj have been questioning whether or not the Queens native has made plans to divorce husband of nearly five years, Kenneth Petty. She has seemingly responded by dropping an adorable clip of the parents together with their son, known to the public as “Papa Bear,” during a family outing. The clip shows the family of three boarding a private jet, with the proud parents and one of Nicki’s mentors, music industry pro Deb Antney, helping “Papa Bear” up the first few steps. The Moncler-clad tyke is then able to finish the job himself before the “Everybody” rapper and her hubby follow him up the stairs into the aircraft. Check out the family scene below. Fans suspected that The Pettys were headed towards separation thanks to a vague and cryptic message tweeted by Minaj Monday (June 10) that read, “Yes Single.” Followers immediately began questioning if the beauty meant she would soon be single, or if she had plans to drop an official single from her Pink Friday 2 album, as she’s yet to release a video from the body of work.Since jumping the broom, the couple has faced jabs from both the public and industry peers due to Petty’s past, as he was convicted of attempted rape in the first degree in April 1995 for an assault the previous year of a then-16-year-old girl. After being sentenced to 18 to 54 months in prison, he served four years behind bars, and is currently listed as a level two registered sex offender in New York state.
