Since his 2012 project Life is Good, fans have been itching for a new Nas album. In a feature published by The New York Times on Monday (June 5), the Illmatic wordsmith vows to deliver a hot summer with his 11th solo effort.
Writer Joanna Nikas shadowed the revered Queens MC during a night out in New York City. They spent time sneaker shopping and eating Caribbean food, and Nas headed to the studio to pick out some beats at the Mass Appeal Headquarters. There, Esco revealed that he would once again have the summer on smash with his latest offering.
“We coming this summer, baby!,” Nas said. “It’s going to be a hot summer up here, man!”
Nas -- who made a track called "Nas Album Done" with DJ Khaled last year -- was also discreet about the completion of his new album by saying, “I always say I’m two weeks away from finishing."
"It’s not done till it hits the streets," Nas told Billboard last April in an interview. Earlier this week, DJ Khaled teased fans with photos from his video-shoots, which featured Rihanna, Bryson Tiller, Travis Scott, and of course, Nas.
