Fans Think These Ads Mean Jay Z’s New Album Is on the Way

Either Jay Z is a marketing mastermind or his fans are too into conspiracy theories.

4:44 ads have popped up on music websites and around Manhattan and people think that means there’s a new album on its way.

Jay Z hasn’t released a new album in four years, since his “Magna Carta... Holy Grail” came out on July 4, 2013.

Fans have also come up with other explanations: he and wife Beyoncé were both born on the fourth (the rapper in December and the singer in September). Daughter Blue Ivy’s name can be turned into the Roman numeral for four.

The husband and wife also have matching “IV” tattoos to symbolize their wedding anniversary, April 4 (4/4).

Someone also said she saw a casting for a Jay Z video in Los Angeles.

Speculation that the rapper could be making his triumphant return began early last month when producer Swizz Beatz posted an Instagram photo in the studio with Jay Z.

Jay Z currently has several concerts and music festivals booked, including the Made In America fest in Philadelphia on Sept. 2 and 3 and the Meadows Festival at Citi Field on Sept. 15. Could he be preparing to launch new music too?
